KITTITAS COUNTY <br />DEPARTMENT OF PUBLIC WORKS <br />2021 AGENDA STAFF REPORT <br />AGENDA DATE: June 1, 2021 <br />ACTION REQUESTED: Request to Set a Public Hearing on June 15, 2021 at 2:00 <br />pm local time to consider the Partial Vacation of Rights of <br />Way in Division 1 of Timber Valley. <br />BACKGROUND: Public Works received an application to vacate portions of <br />rights of way in Division I of Timber Valley in February <br />2021. The County Engineer and Surveyor conducted <br />research pursuant to the request and finds no reason <br />denying the request for vacation. Once vacated, the land <br />will become attached to the applicant and add to the taxable <br />land mass of the County. The interior roads (being <br />vacated) were never constructed and the dedication for <br />public use requires a vacation by the County. <br />Public Works previously vacated portions of Timber Valley <br />right of way in Resolution 2021-061 pursuant to Mr. <br />Benson's request. The second half of the request is now <br />moving to public hearing. <br />INTERACTION: Public Works. <br />RECOMMENDATION: Set a Public Hearing on June 15, 2021 at 2:00 pm local <br />time to consider the Partial Vacation of Rights of Way in <br />Division 1 of Timber Valley. <br />HANDLING: Return one Notice of Public Hearing to Public Works. <br />ATTACHMENTS: Notice of Public Hearing. <br />LEAD STAFF: Mark R.
