COMMISSIONERS' MINUTES
KITTITAS COUNTY, WASHINGTON
WEBEX
SPECIAL MEETING
TUESDAY 8:30 A.M. MAY 25, 2021
Board members present via Webex: Chairman Brett Wachsmith, Vice-
Chairman Laura Osiadacz, and Commissioner Cory Wright.
Others via Webex: Mandy Buchholz, Administrative Supervisor; Julie
Kjorsvik, Clerk of the Board; Lisa Young, HR Director; Tristen Lamb,
Public Health Administrator, Patti Stacey, Solid Waste/Project
Manager/Interim Maint. Director; Stephanie Hartung, Deputy
Prosecutor.
SPECIAL MEETING COMMISSIONERS
At 8:30 a.m. Chairman Wachsmith opened a Special Meeting to discuss
updated guidance on government operations.
Stephanie Hartung, Deputy Prosecuting Attorney revewed the current
guidance they have received for after June 30, 2021. She stated that
the virtual requirement is within the OPMA Proclamation so once that
has been updated or if this statue is amended, then we will have
further guidance on how we offer meetings. She stated we will need
to continue to follow L&I, State, and CDC recommendations.
Lisa Young, HR Director stated that she has items for the Board to
formally give direction on during her Study Session later in the
day. However they can draft a form for employees to attest to for
not wearing a mask.
The Board discussed having all plexiglass removed after June 30th at
the front counters but if individual desks wanted to keep it up,
they could. There was discussion about keeping employees with
plexiglass that are not vaccicanted and that they will need to
continue to mask and socially distance, if not vaccintated.
Meeting adjourned at 8:55 a.m.
