RESOLUTION NO. LO L'- P-T'
A Resolution Establishing Fund 124 - American Rescue Plan
[Coronavirus State & Local Fiscal Recovery Fund]
WHEREAS, On March 11 ,2021, President Biden signed the American Rescue Plan Act
of 2021 (H.R. 1319) into law. The $1 .9 trillion package, based on President Biden's American
Rescue Plan, is intended to combat the COVID-l9 pandemic, including the public health and
economic impacts and,
WHEREAS, on May 10,2021the preliminary allocation designated to Kittitas County is
$9,310,812, with estimated half of the funds to be sent in May 2021and the balance sent one
year later and,
WHEREAS, on May 10,2021the United States Department of Treasury has issued the
lnterim Final Rule guidelines on the use of the funds, which include the following categories:
. Support pubtic health expendituresr Address negative economic impacts cause by the public health emergency. Replace lost public sector revenu€r Provide premiurn pay for essential workersr lnvest in water, sewer, and broadband infrastructure
NOW, THEREFORE BE lT RESOLVED, the Kittitas County Board of County
Commissioners hereby establishes fund 1242 - American Rescue Plan.
AND, NOW THEREFORE BE lT FURTHER RESOLVED, the funds will be invested
according to the United States Department of Treasury guidelines. The Board of County
Commissioners authorizes the administration of these funds be allowed to be charge to the
program.
