LO L'- P-T' <br />A Resolution Establishing Fund 124 - American Rescue Plan <br />[Coronavirus State & Local Fiscal Recovery Fund] <br />WHEREAS, On March 11 ,2021, President Biden signed the American Rescue Plan Act <br />of 2021 (H.R. 1319) into law. The $1 .9 trillion package, based on President Biden's American <br />Rescue Plan, is intended to combat the COVID-l9 pandemic, including the public health and <br />economic impacts and, <br />WHEREAS, on May 10,2021the preliminary allocation designated to Kittitas County is <br />$9,310,812, with estimated half of the funds to be sent in May 2021and the balance sent one <br />year later and, <br />WHEREAS, on May 10,2021the United States Department of Treasury has issued the <br />lnterim Final Rule guidelines on the use of the funds, which include the following categories: <br />. Support pubtic health expendituresr Address negative economic impacts cause by the public health emergency. Replace lost public sector revenu€r Provide premiurn pay for essential workersr lnvest in water, sewer, and broadband infrastructure <br />NOW, THEREFORE BE lT RESOLVED, the Kittitas County Board of County <br />Commissioners hereby establishes fund 1242 - American Rescue Plan. <br />AND, NOW THEREFORE BE lT FURTHER RESOLVED, the funds will be invested <br />according to the United States Department of Treasury guidelines.
