KITTITAS COUNTY <br />DEPARTMENT OF PUBLIC WORKS <br />AGENDA STAFF REPORT <br />AGENDA DATE: <br />May 18, 2021 <br />ACTION REQUESTED: <br />Request to Approve a Resolution to Authorize the Chair's signature <br />on County Road Administration Rural Arterial Program Project <br />Agreement for Construction Proposal, Amendment Number 2, <br />supporting Vantage Highway Improvements <br />BACKGROUND: <br />Through the Rural Arterial Program (RAP) the County Road <br />Administration Board (CRAB) has authorized increasing available <br />Rural Arterial Trust Account (RATA) funding for the Vantage <br />Highway improvement project. CRAB has authorized a funding <br />increase of $1,327,140 from $1,307,860 for a total of $2,635,000. <br />This project, CRP 298-19, overlays failing asphalt and replaces <br />guardrail in sections along Vantage Highway from milepost 21.25 to <br />milepost 27.51. Additional RATA funds will offset impacts to the <br />County Road Fund. <br />INTERACTION: <br />Public Works. <br />RECOMMENDATION: <br />Approve the Resolution to Authorize the Chair's signature on CRAB <br />RAP Project Agreement Contract Amendment Number 2. <br />HANDLING: <br />Return three (3) original to Public Works <br />ATTACHMENTS: <br />Resolution; CRAB RAP Project Agreement for Construction <br />Proposal, Amendment Number 2. <br />LEAD STAFF: <br />Joshua Fredrickson, County Engineer <br />
