COMMISSIONERS' MINUTES KITTITAS COUNTY, WASHINGTON WEBEX SPECIAL MEETING
TUESDAY 3:30 P.M. MAY 11, 2021
Board members present via Webex: Chairman Brett Wachsmith, Vice-
Chairman Laura Osiadacz, and Commissioner Cory Wright.
Others via Webex: Taylor Crouch, Administrative Assistant; Jerry
Pettit, Auditor, and Sue Higginbotham, Chief Administrator. SPECIAL MEETING AUDITOR’S OFFICE COMMISSIONERS
At 3:30 p.m. Chairman Wachsmith opened a Special Meeting to have a
preliminary discussion regarding the county's redistricting process.
Jerry Pettit, Auditor reviewed the process with the Board and
provided a rough draft timeline and list of stakeholders. There were
key differences discussed in balancing population versus balancing
voters. There was also discussion on precinct districts and why
Kittitas County has had that process tied into County Code. The
Board was able to have open discussion and ask questions of the
Auditor.
Commissioner Wright asked to pull the item to discuss the LEAN
process with the County Auditor and continue it to another agenda.
The item was pulled.
Meeting adjourned at 4:05 p.m.
