BOARD OF' COTINTY COMMISSIONERS <br />COUNTY OF'IilTTITAS <br />STATE OF WASHINGTON <br />RESOLUTION NO. 2O2I - <br />AWARD A LOCAL AGENCY A&E PROFESSIONAL SERVICES CONSULTANT <br />AGREEMENT TO KPF'FO INC' X'OR THE DESIGN AIID ENVIRONMENTAL <br />PERMITTING FOR THE NORTH THORP HIGHWAY _ YAKIMA RTVER BRIDGEO <br />cRP 302-20 <br />WHEREAS:Public Works recently solicited for qualified design and engineering firms <br />pursuant to state and federal procurement regulations for design and <br />environmental permitting for preventative maintenance of the North Thorp <br />Highway - Yakima River Bridge (No. 97341); and, <br />WHEREAS: Three (3) qualified engineering firms responded to the request for a statement of <br />qualifications; and <br />WHEREAS: A review committee of Public Works staff evaluated responses, and reviewers <br />selected KPFF,Inc. as the prefened firm to provide said services; and <br />WHEREAS: A scope of work and fee has been negotiated and accepted by said Consultant <br />and Public Works; and <br />NOW' THEREF'ORE BE IT RESOLVED that the Board of County Commissioners, in the best <br />interest of the public, does hereby approve the award to KPFF, Inc. of a Local <br />Agency A&E Professional Services Consultant Agreement for design and <br />environmental permitting for preventative maintenance of the North Thorp <br />Highway - Yakima River Bridge, CRP 302-20. <br />DATED on this 4th day of May 2021, at Ellensburg, Washington. <br />BOARD OF COUNTY <br />COMMISSIONERS <br />KITTITAS COUNTY,ASHIN <br />Chairman <br />Julie Kjorsvik <br />Vice-Chairman <br />n Deputy Clerk of the Board- Mandy Buchholz <br />cory Commissioner
