ACTION REQUESTED:
Request Board approval on the Resolution changing the hours of operation for the Ryegrass Landfill.
BACKGROUND:
Kittitas County Solid Waste Ryegrass facility has been open Tuesday through Friday 8:00am to 4:00pm.
With the growth in the county we are seeing more customers and increase in volumes of material at the
facility. We have been requested to open on Mondays to meeting the needs of the contractors. After
reviewing the number of customers and the volume of materials received it has been determined that it
would be beneficial and cost effective to open an additional day.
INTERACTION:
Solid Waste Department and the Prosecutors office.
RECOMMENDATION:
Recommend Board of County Commissioners approval of the Resolution approving the change of hours of
operations at the Ryegrass Landfill facility.
