Kittitas County <br />Solid Waste <br /> <br />Agenda Staff Report <br /> <br />AGENDA DATE: <br />5/4/2021 <br /> <br />ACTION REQUESTED: <br />Request Board approval on the Resolution changing the hours of operation for the Ryegrass Landfill. <br /> <br />BACKGROUND: <br />Kittitas County Solid Waste Ryegrass facility has been open Tuesday through Friday 8:00am to 4:00pm. <br />With the growth in the county we are seeing more customers and increase in volumes of material at the <br />facility. We have been requested to open on Mondays to meeting the needs of the contractors. After <br />reviewing the number of customers and the volume of materials received it has been determined that it <br />would be beneficial and cost effective to open an additional day. <br /> <br />INTERACTION: <br />Solid Waste Department and the Prosecutors office. <br /> <br />RECOMMENDATION: <br />Recommend Board of County Commissioners approval of the Resolution approving the change of hours of <br />operations at the Ryegrass Landfill facility. <br /> <br />HANDLING: <br /> <br /> <br />LEAD STAFF: <br />Patti Stacey <br />
