KITTITAS COUNTY <br />BOARD OF COUNTY COMMISSIONERS <br />AGENDA STAFF REPORT <br /> <br />AGENDA DATE: May 4, 2021 <br /> <br />ACTION REQUESTED: Request to Set a Public Hearing to consider a Community <br />Development Block Grant (CDBG) - General Purpose <br />Grant for FISH Community Food Bank. <br /> <br /> <br />BACKGROUND: FISH has contracted with Belsaas and Smith to design and <br />construct a food pantry; and to design and renovate an <br />administrative building. FISH is applying for a Community <br />Development Block Grant General Purpose Grant to assist <br />with funding. A requirement of the grant application is to <br />hold a Public Hearing to allow citizens to provide <br />comments on the proposal. <br /> <br />INTERACTION: Representatives of FISH and Judy Pless, Budget & Finance <br />Manager have been working together on preparing the <br />grant application. <br /> <br />RECOMMENDATION: Set a Public Hearing to consider a CDBG General Purpose <br />Grant to be held on Tuesday May 18, 2021 at 2:00 p.m. via <br />Webex video conferencing. <br /> <br />HANDLING: 1 – Clerk of the Board <br /> 1 copy – Peggy Morache, FISH <br /> 1 copy – Judy Pless, Budget & Finance Manager <br /> <br />ATTACHMENTS: Notice to Set a Public Hearing. <br /> <br />LEAD STAFF: Julie Kjorsvik, Clerk of the Board – Peggy Morache, FISH <br /> Judy Pless, Budget & Finance Manager. <br /> <br />
