Request to approve a Resolution to establish County
Road Project (CRP) number supporting the
resurfacing of Fairview Road
BACKGROUND: In 2020 Kittitas County improved stream crossings
and the roadway between mile point 5.13 to mile
point 5.42 on Fairview Road. This improvement
realigned the stream, removed three stream
crossings by replacing a single larger more fish
passable crossing. The road base was also
reconstructed, and new guardrail installed. The
surface was left as aggregate and is proposed to be
replaced with pavement. County forces will perform
the work to pave the roadway. Funding in the
amount of $220,000.00 will come from the County
road fund.
INTERACTION: Public Works
RECOMMENDATION: Approve the Resolution establishing a County Road
Project (CRP) number supporting the resurfacing of
Fairview Road.
HANDLING: Return one (1) original to Public Works

BEFORE THE BOARD OF COUNTY COMMISSIONERS OF KITTITAS COUNTY, STATE OF WASHINGTON, in the matter
of initiating a county road project designated as:

IT IS HEREBY RESOLVED for Fairview Road Improvements
Improvement to Fairview Road from mile post 5.13 to mile post 5.42, upgrading the road from gravel to hard surface.

This project is hereby declared to be a public necessity and the Director of Public Works acting as the County Engineer is hereby
ordered and authorized to report and proceed thereon as by law provided. (RCW 36.75.050, 36.80.030, 36.80.070).
IT IS FURTHER RESOLVED that an appropriation from the officially adopted road fund budget and based on the Director of
Public Works' estimate, is hereby made in the amounts and for the purposes shown:
