KITTITAS COUNTY <br />DEPARTMENT OF PUBLIC WORKS <br />AGENDA DATE: <br />ACTION REQUESTED: <br />AGENDA STAFF REPORT <br />May 4, 2021 <br />Request to approve a Resolution to establish County <br />Road Project (CRP) number supporting the <br />resurfacing of Fairview Road <br />BACKGROUND: In 2020 Kittitas County improved stream crossings <br />and the roadway between mile point 5.13 to mile <br />point 5.42 on Fairview Road. This improvement <br />realigned the stream, removed three stream <br />crossings by replacing a single larger more fish <br />passable crossing. The road base was also <br />reconstructed, and new guardrail installed. The <br />surface was left as aggregate and is proposed to be <br />replaced with pavement. County forces will perform <br />the work to pave the roadway. Funding in the <br />amount of $220,000.00 will come from the County <br />road fund. <br />INTERACTION: Public Works <br />RECOMMENDATION: Approve the Resolution establishing a County Road <br />Project (CRP) number supporting the resurfacing of <br />Fairview Road. <br />HANDLING: Return one (1) original to Public Works <br />ATTACHMENTS: Resolution establishing CRP No. 303-20 <br />LEAD STAFF: Joshua Fredrickson, County Engineer <br />
