BOARD OF COUNTY COMMISSIONERS <br />COLINTY OF KITTITAS <br />STATE OF WASHINGTON <br />RESoLUrroNNo. 2o2r - 0b 1' <br />POSTING LOAD RATINGS AT CERTAIN BRIDGES FOR SPECIAL HAUL <br />VEHICLES AND EMERGENCY VEHICLES <br />WHEREAS: The Federal Government authorized the use of the Federal Highway System for <br />Special Haul Vehicles and Emergency Vehicles in the FAST Transportation Act <br />by amending Chapter 53 of Title 49 US Code on December 4,2015; and <br />WHEREAS: The Federal Government requires local agencies to evaluate bridge structures for <br />supporting Special Haul Vehicles and Emergency Vehicles located within one <br />mile of the Federal Highway System, and <br />WHEREAS: Public Works recently completed the required bridge structure analysis using the <br />Department's Structural Engineering Task Order consultant KPFF on March 31, <br />2021; and <br />WHEREAS: Kittitas County is now required to post load limits at bridge structures that are not <br />capable of fully supporting the required Special Haul Vehicle and Emergency <br />Vehicle loads at: Bridge Numbers: 04351, 0625I, 78132, 79011, 88333 and <br />89342 (attached); and <br />WHEREAS: The posting is required within 30 days of notice being received on 03-3I-2021; <br />NOW' THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED that the Board of County Commissioners, in the <br />best interest of the public, does hereby authorize the load limit posting of bridge numbers: <br />0435I, 06251, 78132,790T1,88333 and 89342 in accordance with Federal Bridge Inspection <br />standards. <br />DATED this 20th day of April2l2l, at Ellensburg, Washington. <br />."1t\\ll ll ll lll trr'r,, <br />...$'."r1Y C( ) Lt ^'".,,-..' ^\)t'-.......,.'!it <br />l' <br />S .." - --- "".' ,'',, <br />i r j ,', <br />- ,",* --.
