KITTITAS COUNTY <br />BOARD OF COUNTY COMMISSIONERS <br />AGENDA STAFF REPORT <br /> <br />AGENDA DATE: April 20, 2021 <br /> <br />ACTION REQUESTED: Request to Approve a Special Event Application authorizing <br />Richard Hoyt to host the 2021 Washington State Sporting <br />Clay Championships from July 1,2,3, & 4, 2021. <br /> <br />BACKGROUND: The Commissioners office received a Special Event <br />Application from Richard Hoyt to host the 2021 Washington <br />State Sporting Clay Championships from July 1,2,3, & 4, <br />2021. <br /> <br />INTERACTION: The applicant is requesting a waiver to the Penal Bond - <br />Kittitas County Code Chapter 5.20.100 – Penal Bond – Bond <br />of Indemnity. <br /> <br /> The applicant is not requesting a waiver to Kittitas County <br />Code Chapter 5.20.160 – Closing Hours. <br /> <br /> The permit fee has been paid and Staff has routed the <br />application and received a recommendation of approval or <br />contingent approval from the following departments: Sheriff, <br />Public Health, Public Works, Solid Waste, Prosecutor, <br />Treasurer and Fire Marshal. (Specific comments may be seen <br />in the Department Memo’s attached). <br /> <br />RECOMMENDATION: Approve the Special Event Application Richard Hoyt to host <br />the 2021 Washington State Sporting Clay Championships <br />from July 1,2,3, & 4, 2021. With the following <br />contingencies: <br /> <br /> Public Health/EH: Reminder <br /> As long as there is follow through with the <br />stewardship plan and all applicable COVID <br />restrictions be adhered to for the current re-opening <br />phase in Kittitas County they approve the event. <br /> <br />Public Works: Information <br /> Will be in the area for chip sealing operations that <br />week but will schedule Westside Road accordingly to <br />not be in the area to add to the increase of daily <br />traffic. <br /> <br />***Fire Marshal: Contingent <br /> Mr. Hoyt must schedule an inspection 48 hours prior <br />to the event with a passing inspection. Also a 4lb or <br />larger ABC fire extinguisher is required at each
