BOARD OF COUNTY COMMISSIONERS <br />COUNTY OF KITTITAS <br />STATE OF WASHINGTON <br />RESOLUTTON No. 2021- 05 4 <br />AUTHORIZING THE CHAIR'S SIGNATURE ON THE LOCAL AGENCY <br />FEDERAL AID PROJECT PROSPECTUS CONSTRUCTION PHASE FOR THE <br />VANTAGE HIGHWAY PROJECT, CRp 298-19 <br />WHEREAS: The Vantage Highway Project was awarded Federal funds (HSIP) that will <br />be used to install and upgrade non-compliant guardrail, and protect <br />hazardous slopes along Vantage Highway MP 21.25 - MP 27.51; and <br />WHEREAS: This project will be tied with a Rural Arterial Program project, which will <br />repair and provide an asphalt overlay on all lanes of Vantage Highway to <br />build surface depth and structural capacity at the same location; and <br />WHEREAS: In preparation to advertise the project for construction in April of 2021 <br />Public Works is requesting the Washington State Department of <br />Transportation to release the Federal Funds for construction; and <br />WHEREAS: A Local Agency Federal Aid Project Prospectus must be executed by the <br />Chair acknowledging the project has been reviewed and is consistent with <br />the agency's comprehensive plan for community development; and <br />NOW' THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED that the Board of County Commissioners, in <br />the best interest of the public, does hereby approve the Board's signature <br />on the Local Agency Federal Aid Project Prospectus for the Vantage <br />Highway Project, CRP 298-19. <br />DATED on this lth day of April, 202I, at Ellensburg, Washington. <br />BOARD OF COUNTY <br />COMMISSIONERS.,rtrtt\ll I I I I l///ltrrr, <br />^.$,*.1..I9.Y !!{;,., <br />S oY."'
