AGENDA DATE: April 6th, 2021
ACTION REQUESTED: Request the Board of County Commissioners (BOCC) to publish a Notice of Funds Availability (NOFA) for Grant Applications in the amount of $400.000.00 to help address
local homeless priorities with Capital Project for Homeless Units utilizing the Homelessness fund.
BACKGROUND: Currently there is approximately $650,000 available in the Homelessness funds available to address the local homeless priorities. The Homeless and Affordable Housing Committee
met on March 26th, 2021 and voted to recommend the BOCC publish a NOFA in the amount of $400,000.00 to address local homeless priorities. The Board of County Commissioners has primary
responsibility for administration of the program, which funds are maintained by the County Auditor’s Office pursuant to RCW 36.22.179.
INTERACTION: The Homeless and Affordable Housing Committee will review the grant applications and make recommendations to the Board of County Commissioners. The BOCC will make the final
determination of the awards.
RECOMMENDATION: Request the Board of County Commissioners to publish a Notice of Funds Available to address local homeless priorities with Capital Project for Homeless Units utilizing
the Homelessness fund in the amount of $400,000.00 The applications to be available April 7th, 2021; online or can be picked up in the Commissioner’s Office. Deadline for completed
applications is May 14th, 2021 at 4:00 p.m. in the Commissioner’s Office.
