TO AWARD THE CONTRACT FOR ST]PPLYING 30' STEEL MODULAR BRIDGE
AND AUTHORIZE THE PUBLIC WORI(S DIRECTOR TO EXECUTE THE SAME
WHEREAS: On February 8,2021, the Kittitas County Board of County Commissioners
approved a Notice of Call for sealed bids for Supplying 30' Steel Modular
Bridge; and
WHEREAS: The Department of Public Works solicited bids for Supplying 30' Steel Modular
Bridge in accordance with RCW 36.77.020 Contract Procedures; and
WHEREAS: Sealed bids were opened on February 25,2021at the Kittitas County Permit
Center, Department of Public Works, 4l I N. Ruby Street, Suite 1, Ellensburg,
WA; and
WHEREAS:One single bid was received from Contech Engineered Solutions for $36,713.70
The Engineer's estimate for the work was between $38,000.00 and $43,000.00.
The Director of Public Works recommends the responsive bid from Contech
Engineered Solutions for $36,713.70 be accepted; and
NOW, THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED that the Board of County Commissioners does
award the contract for Supplying 30' Steel Modular Bridge to Contech
Engineered Solutions for the sum of $36,713.70 and further authorizes the
Director for the Department of Public Works to sign the contract documents for
said proiect.
