RESOLUTION NO. 2021-
A RESOLUTION AUTHORIZING EXECUTION OF AN INTERGOVERNMENTAL AGREEMENT
BETWEEN KITTITAS COUNTY SHERIFF'S OFFICE AND WA STATE PARKS AND
RECREATION COMMISSION FOR BOATING SAFETY
WHEREAS, RCW 39.34, the Interlocal Cooperation Act, provides the capability for
public agencies to cooperate by providing services and facilities for mutual advantage; and
WHEREAS, the purpose of this agreement is to establish a cooperative framework
between Washington State Parks and Kittitas County to enhance the performance of
boating safety and education services in the state per RCW 88.02.650 and WAC 352-
65.010, and provide financial assistance for such services; and
WHEREAS, the term of this agreement, once signed by Washington State Parks,
shall end on September 30 of the current calendar year; and
WHEREAS The County desires to provide the services and make use of the
financial support to do so; and
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED AND IT IS HEREBY ORDERED, that this
Agreement between Kittitas County Sheriffs Office and Washington State Parks and
Recreation Commission shall be filed or posted in accordance with RCW 39.34.040.
