Ruby St., Suite 2, Ellensburg, WA 98926 <br />CDS@CO.KITTITAS.WA.US <br />Office (509) 962-7506 <br />Fax (509) 962-7682 <br /> <br />“Building Partnerships – Building Communities” <br /> <br />AGENDA STAFF REPORT <br /> <br /> <br />AGENDA DATE: March 16, 2021 <br /> <br />ACTION REQUESTED: Approval of Amendment to Professional Services Agreement with The Watershed <br />Company for Phase II of Critical Areas Ordinance Update. <br /> <br /> <br />BACKGROUND: On October 15, 2019, Kittitas County executed a Professional Service Agreement <br />(PSA) with The Watershed Company for Phase II of the periodic update to the <br />county’s Critical Areas Ordinance (CAO). Staff is requesting an amendment to this <br />PSA in order to complete the CAO update. This amendment would only re-allocate <br />sub-phase budgets, but would not increase the overall contract value of the PSA. <br /> <br /> Due to the COVID-19 pandemic, in-person stakeholder meetings were not <br />conducted, but staff will be seeking online and electronic input regarding the <br />proposed CAO update. Money from this task was moved to the Critical Aquifer <br />Recharge Areas (CARA) Mapping task. Additionally, money that was not <br />previously spent in this and other tasks has be re-allocated to Project Coordination <br />and Public Comment Responses in order to complete the update. <br /> <br /> The overall contract value would remain at $57,000, and no budget amendment is <br />necessary. <br /> <br />INTERACTION: Board of Commissioners, Prosecutor’s Office, Auditor’s Office, and Community <br />Development Services <br /> <br />RECOMMENDATION: Approve proposed Amendment to the Phase II Professional Services Agreement with <br />The Watershed Company and authorize the Chair to sign the amendment. <br /> <br />HANDLING: None <br /> <br />ATTACHMENTS: Proposed Amendment to Phase II Professional Services Agreement with The <br />Watershed Company <br /> <br />LEAD STAFF: Dan Carlson, AICP, Community Development Services Director
