COMMISSIONERS' MINUTES KITTITAS COUNTY, WASHINGTON WEBEX SPECIAL MEETING WEDNESDAY 1:30 P.M. FEBRUARY 24, 2021
Board members present: Commissioner Brett Wachsmith; Commissioner
Laura Osiadacz; and Commissioner Cory Wright.
Others: Julie Kjorsvik, Clerk of the Board; Mark Cook, Public Works
Director; Dan Carlson, CDS Director; Nicole Ogan, Environmental
Transportation Planner; Bridget Pechtel, Long Range Planner; and 7
members of the public.
SPECIAL MEETING PARKS, RECREATION, OPEN SPACE PUBLIC WORKS
At 1:30 p.m. Chairman Wachsmith opened a Special Meeting to hold a
workshop with the Department of Public Works regarding Parks,
Recreation, Open Space (PROS) Plan and Tourism Plan.
Mark Cook, Public Works Director, reviewed a draft 2021 Kittitas
County Recreation, and Tourism Plan. Staff suggested an outreach
campaign to stakeholder groups during the months of March and April
with a Public Hearing on plan adoption in May 2021. He indicated
once the plan was revised, they can prepare for distribution to
stakeholders for public review and comment. The Board of County
Commissioners asked questions and provided input on sections of the
document.
At the conclusion of the meeting the Board agreed to individually
provide track changes and send them to the Public Works Department
within one week before holding their next meeting on March 5, 2021.
