KITTITAS COUNTY, WASHINGTON

REGULAR MEETING
MONDAY 9:00 A.M. MARCH 01, 2021
Board members present: Chairman Brett Wachsmith & Commissioner Cory
Wright. Excused: Vice-Chairman Laura Osiadacz.
Others: Mandy Buchholz, Administrative Supervisor; Julie Kjorsvik,
Clerk of the Board; Taylor Crouch, Administrative Assistant and
Patti Johnson, Solid Waste Director/Project Manager/Interim
Maintenance Director.
SPECIAL MEETING OFFICE STAFF MEETING COMMISSIONERS
At 9:00 a.m. Chairman Wachsmith opened the Office Administration
meeting.
CALENDAR WEEK AT A GLANCE COMMISSIONERS
The Board of County Commissioners reviewed their weekly calendar.
PAF/VOUCHERS REVIEW OF PAF’S & VOUCHERS COMMISSIONERS
The Board of County Commissioners approved and signed County
Employee Personnel Action forms and vouchers.
CORRESPONDENCE LOG REVIEW OF CORRESPONDENCE LOG COMMISSIONERS
The Board of County Commissioners reviewed the weekly Correspondence
Log, a listing of all incoming mail and correspondence for the week
ending February 26, 2021.
APPOINTMENT FAIR BOARD - CELIGOY COMMISSIONERS
Commissioner Wright moved to appoint Eric Celigoy to the Kittitas
County Fair Board, for a three-year term effective immediately &
ending on 12/31/2023. Chairman Wachsmith seconded. Motion carried 2-
0.
DISCUSSION COURTHOUSE COMMITTEE OUTREACH COMMISSIONERS
Patti Johnson, Solid Waste Director/Project Manager/Interim
Maintenance Director stated that they only got one response from the
RFP that was done seeking someone to do Courthouse
Committee/Community Outreach. She stated that by reviewing the
proposal from DLR it looks like they are well qualified to do the

job. She asked the Board to allow her to move forward with negotiate
with the group as there was no price included.
Chairman Wachsmith and Commissioner Wright offered their support to
proceed with negotiations with the DLR Group.
RATIFY LETTERS TO SCHRIER/CANTWELL/MURRAY COMMISSIONERS
Commissioner Wright moved to ratify letters to Senator Patty Murray,
Senator Maria Cantwell and Congresswoman Schrier regarding Budget
Reconciliation Legislation – Support for Coronavirus Local Fiscal
Recovery Fund. Chairman Wright seconded. Motion carried 2-0.
UPDATE BOCC/ DEPARTMENT HEAD REPORTS COMMISSIONERS
Each Commissioner was assigned three different Department Heads to
meet with on a weekly basis. The assignments for 2021 were
determined at the Board of County Commissioners Office Admin meeting
on 1-11-2021.
Each Commissioner reviewed discussions held with their respective
departments and exchanged details of those meetings.

OTHER BUSINESS/GENERAL UPDATES
There were general updates on meetings & conversations that the
Board participated in, individually over the past week.
