AGENDA DATE: March 2, 2021
ACTION REQUESTED: Approve Setting a Public Hearing to Consider a 1/10th of
1% Increase in Sales & Use Tax.
BACKGROUND: Upon the conclusion of a Special Meeting on February 23,
2021 the Kittitas County Board of Commissioners directed
Staff to schedule a Public Hearing to consider a 1/10th of
1% increase in Sales & Use Tax for Chemical Dependency
or Mental Health Treatment Services or Therapeutic Courts
as authorized by RCW 82.14.460.
INTERACTION: Staff is proposing a Public Hearing date of April 14, 2021
at 6:00 p.m. in the Kittitas Valley Event Center – Armory
Building.
RECOMMENDATION: Set a Public Hearing for April 14, 2021 at 6:00 p.m. in the
Kittitas Valley Event Center – Armory Building 901 E. 7th
Ave. Ellensburg, WA and to authorize the Clerk to publish
said notice.
HANDLING: 1 –Clerk of the Board
BOCC Staff to publish legal notice.
