KITTITAS COUNTY <br />BOARD OF COUNTY COMMISSIONERS <br />AGENDA STAFF REPORT <br /> <br />AGENDA DATE: March 2, 2021 <br /> <br />ACTION REQUESTED: Approve Setting a Public Hearing to Consider a 1/10th of <br />1% Increase in Sales & Use Tax. <br /> <br /> <br />BACKGROUND: Upon the conclusion of a Special Meeting on February 23, <br />2021 the Kittitas County Board of Commissioners directed <br />Staff to schedule a Public Hearing to consider a 1/10th of <br />1% increase in Sales & Use Tax for Chemical Dependency <br />or Mental Health Treatment Services or Therapeutic Courts <br />as authorized by RCW 82.14.460. <br /> <br />INTERACTION: Staff is proposing a Public Hearing date of April 14, 2021 <br />at 6:00 p.m. in the Kittitas Valley Event Center – Armory <br />Building. <br /> <br />RECOMMENDATION: Set a Public Hearing for April 14, 2021 at 6:00 p.m. in the <br />Kittitas Valley Event Center – Armory Building 901 E. 7th <br />Ave. Ellensburg, WA and to authorize the Clerk to publish <br />said notice. <br /> <br />HANDLING: 1 –Clerk of the Board <br /> BOCC Staff to publish legal notice. <br /> <br />ATTACHMENTS: Notice of Public Hearing <br /> <br />LEAD STAFF: Julie Kjorsvik, Clerk of the Board. <br />
