KITTITAS COUNTY <br />SOLID WASTE DEPARTMENT <br /> <br /> AGENDA STAFF REPORT <br /> <br /> <br />AGENDA DATE: March 2, 2021 <br /> <br />ACTION REQUESTED: Request Board of County Commissioners approval for the <br />Chair to sign a Professional Service agreement with HDR. <br /> <br /> <br />BACKGROUND: The Solid Waste Department has received a grant from the <br />Department of Ecology Recycling Development Center to do a feasibility study on <br />secondary recycling markets with an eye towards a regional comprehensive action plan. <br /> <br />The Solid Waste Department contacted three consultants and it was determined that HDR <br />would be the best fit and would be able to meet the short time frame for this study. <br /> <br />INTERACTION: Solid Waste Department, Department of Ecology, Prosecutors <br />office <br /> <br />RECOMMENDATION: Signature of the Chair. <br /> <br />HANDLING: Return two signed copies to the Solid Waste Department. <br /> <br />ATTACHMENTS: Professional Service Agreement <br /> <br />LEAD STAFF: Patti Stacey, Solid Waste Director. <br />
