02/12/21 MINUTES 1 <br />COMMISSIONERS' MINUTES KITTITAS COUNTY, WASHINGTON WEBEX EMERGENCY/SPECIAL MEETING <br /> FRIDAY 9:00 A.M. FEBRUARY 12, 2021 <br />Board members present via Webex: Chairman Brett Wachsmith; Vice- <br />Chairman Laura Osiadacz; and Commissioner Cory Wright. <br /> <br />Others via Webex: Taylor Crouch, Administrative Assistant; Julie <br />Kjorsvik, Clerk of the Board; Greg Zempel, Prosecutor; Clay Myers, <br />Sheriff; Dr. Mark Larson, Public Health Officer; Tristen Lamb, <br />Public Health Administrator; Darren Higashiyama, Incident Management <br />Team Commander; Chris Whitsett, Inspector; Neil Caulkins, Chief <br />Civil Deputy; Bill Clarke, Kittitas County Lobbyist; Tom Dent, <br />Washington State Representative; Kelli Scott, Congresswoman Kim <br />Schrier’s Office; Cynthia Banuelos, Washington State Senator <br />Warnick’s Office; Patricia Tenney, Washington State Representative <br />Tom Dent’s Office; and 16 members of the public were present. SPECIAL MEETING EMERGENCY/SPECIAL MEETING COMMISSIONERS <br />At 9:00 a.m. Chairman Wachsmith opened an Emergency/Special Meeting <br />to have a discussion on Kittitas County’s current Phase on Governor <br />Inslee's Roadmap to Recovery. <br /> <br />There was open discussion on the County’s position in the South <br />Central Region. Participants were able to ask questions about the <br />vaccine rollouts in the County and what possible solutions there <br />could be to move forward from Phase 1. There was collaborative <br />effort to get messaging and letters out to the public and to the <br />Governor’s Office. <br /> <br />The BOCC agreed to put a Press Release out immediately following the <br />meeting and that Commissioner Osiadacz would draft a letter from the <br />BOCC, Sheriff, and Prosecutor to the Governor.
