02/04/2021 MINUTES 1 COMMISSIONERS' MINUTES KITTITAS COUNTY, WASHINGTON WEBEX SPECIAL MEETING THURSDAY 1:30 P.M. FEBRUARY 4, 2021 Board members present: Chairman Brett Wachsmith, Vice-Chair Laura Osiadacz and Commissioner Cory Wright. Others: Mandy Buchholz, Deputy Clerk of the Board II; Mark Cook, Public Works Director; Amy Cziske, Treasurer; Dan Carlson, CDS Director; Nicole Ogan, Environmental Transportation Planner; Jeremy Johnston, Planning Official; Bridget Pechtel, Long Range Planner; and 4 members of the Public (via Webex). WORKSHOP PUBLIC WORKS WORKSHOP COMMISSIONERS At 1:30 p.m. Chairman Brett Wachsmith opened a Special Meeting with County Staff to hold a workshop on the Parks, Recreation, Open Space (PROS) Plan and Tourism Plan. Amy Cziske, Treasurer gave an updated on REET2 and which County’s are collecting it, as well as some rough numbers of what the County could anticipate if they implemented it. Director Cook outlined what he hoped to tackle during the meeting and reviewed the Board’s PROS Survey Results followed by further discussion about the Recreation programs, Cultural Arts Programs, Resource Conservancies etc. that are included in the PROS plan. There was discussion on what, if any, missing elements from the plan the Board wanted to consider or add. Director Cook thanked the Board and indicated that he and Nicole Ogan, Environmental Transportation Planner would compile the Boards decisions from today and bring it before them for further discussion and work on the next workshop that is set for February 24, 2021 @ 1:30 p.m. Meeting adjourned at 2:35 p.m. KITTITAS COUNTY COMMISSIONERS DEPUTY CLERK OF THE BOARD II KITTITAS COUNTY, WASHINGTON Mandy Buchholz Brett Wachsmith, Chairman
