KITTITAS COUNTY <br />DEPARTMENT OF PUBLIC WORKS <br />AGENDA STAFF REPORT <br />AGENDA DATE: January 19, 2021 <br />ACTION REQUESTED: Request to Authorize an advertisement for a Request for <br />Proposals soliciting Snow Removal Support for Kittitas <br />County Department of Public Works for 2021. <br />BACKGROUND: COVID 19 recently impacted the Maintenance Division of <br />Public Works (PW). While this outbreak was contained to <br />a small portion of the workforce, management is concerned <br />that a future outbreak could adversely impact our ability <br />providing snow removal services. PW is requesting to <br />solicit private contractors for interest providing snow <br />removal support services for the period 02/2021 through <br />12/2021. <br />INTERACTION: Public Works <br />RECOMMENDATION: Authorize advertising for service proposals from area <br />contractors supporting Public Works snow removal by <br />Maintenance District. <br />HANDLING: Return one original to Public Works. <br />ATTACHMENTS: Request for Proposals "2021 Snow Removal Support <br />Services". <br />LEAD STAFF: Mark R.
