KITTITAS COUNTY <br />Board of County Commissioners <br /> <br />AGENDA STAFF REPORT <br /> <br />AGENDA DATE: January 19, 2021 <br /> <br />ACTION REQUESTED: Approve a Resolution amending the Ellensburg Pallet Lease from <br />annual payments to monthly payments. <br /> <br /> <br />LEAD STAFF: Ken Grannan, Airport Director <br /> <br />BACKGROUND: Ellensburg Pallets LLC entered a lease agreement with Kittitas <br />County on January 1st, 2020 for lot C-38 approximately 99,630 <br />square feet. The payment terms of the lease were for $.14 per sq. <br />ft. and to be paid annually on or before January 1st of each <br />proceeding year. Cassandra Arellano, on behalf of Ellensburg <br />Pallet LLC, reached out to the Auditors office on December 18th to <br />request a change in payment terms. At that time the Airport <br />Department was notified and sent a request to the Prosecutors <br />Office to prepare an amendment to the lease. <br /> <br />INTERACTION: The Prosecutors Office has prepared a Resolution under <br />Prosecution Request # 50858 <br /> <br />RECOMMENDATION: Airport Staff recommends the BOCC approve the resolution <br />amending the Ellensburg Pallet Lease payment terms <br /> <br />HANDLING: Original – Clerk of the Board <br /> Copy – Airport <br /> Copy – Prosecutors Office <br /> <br /> <br />ATTACHMENTS: Resolution and Amendment
