AGENDA STAFF REPORT
AGENDA DATE: January 19, 2021
ACTION REQUESTED: Approve a Resolution amending the Ellensburg Pallet Lease from
annual payments to monthly payments.
LEAD STAFF: Ken Grannan, Airport Director
BACKGROUND: Ellensburg Pallets LLC entered a lease agreement with Kittitas
County on January 1st, 2020 for lot C-38 approximately 99,630
square feet. The payment terms of the lease were for $.14 per sq.
ft. and to be paid annually on or before January 1st of each
proceeding year. Cassandra Arellano, on behalf of Ellensburg
Pallet LLC, reached out to the Auditors office on December 18th to
request a change in payment terms. At that time the Airport
Department was notified and sent a request to the Prosecutors
Office to prepare an amendment to the lease.
INTERACTION: The Prosecutors Office has prepared a Resolution under
Prosecution Request # 50858
RECOMMENDATION: Airport Staff recommends the BOCC approve the resolution
amending the Ellensburg Pallet Lease payment terms
