AGENDA DATE: January 5, 2021
ACTION REQUESTED: Request Board signature on Resolution Designating Authorized
Signatories for the purpose of Washington Hazard Mitigation Grant
Program application and grant.
BACKGROUND: Kittitas County Solid Waste has been working through the FEMA
Washington Hazards Mitigation Grant Program to apply for funding
for the relocation of the Ellensburg transfer station. The specific
grant is a Building Resilience in Communities (BRIC) grant.
The County Solid Waste Department has made it through the first two
rounds of the grant process and as part of moving our application
further we have been asked to provide a resolution designating
signatory authority to two county individuals.
INTERACTION: The Prosecutors office, and Solid Waste
RECOMMENDATION: Recommend Boards signature on Resolution authorizing signatory
authority to the Solid Waste Director Patti Johnson, and to the Chair
of the Board of County Commissioners.
In addition, we are requesting Board approval for the Chairs signature
on the FEMA Resolution form designating Applicants Agent.
