KITTITAS COUNTY <br />Juvenile Court Services <br /> <br />AGENDA STAFF REPORT <br /> <br /> <br />AGENDA DATE: 01/05/2021 <br /> <br />ACTION REQUESTED: <br />Request to approve Professional Services Agreement with A Better Track to perform the <br />State recognized evidenced based program Education and Employment Training (EET) <br /> <br /> <br />BACKGROUND: <br />Through the Juvenile Court Block Grant, the Department of Children, Youth and <br />Families provides funding to County Juvenile Courts throughout the State of Washington <br />to support programs for juvenile offenders, to include by not limited to, evidenced based <br />programs approved through the Community Juvenile Accountability Act. <br /> <br />Education and Employment Training is an identified evidenced based program that is <br />eligible for funding reimbursement through the Juvenile Court Block Grant. Our office <br />has identified A Better Track to administer the program to our youth. Through our <br />program grant dollars, we can refer 8 youth for EET services per fiscal year. There is no <br />impact to the County General Fund. <br /> <br />INTERACTION: <br />The Prosecutor’s Office has reviewed, approved as to form and signed the agreement. <br />Presiding Judge of Kittitas County Superior Court reviewed and signed agreement. <br /> <br />RECOMMENDATION: <br />Approve Professional Services Agreement with A Better Track to perform EET to <br />Kittitas County Juvenile Court Services eligible youth. <br /> <br />HANDLING: <br />Request 1 copy with signatures to Katrina Mankus and 1 copy of the fully executed <br />document to the BoCC for County Records. <br /> <br />ATTACHMENTS: <br />Attached is two originals of the professional services agreement. <br /> <br />LEAD STAFF: <br />Katrina Mankus, Juvenile Court Administrator
