<br />2020-12-14 MINUTES 1 <br /> <br />KITTITAS COUNTY <br />AIRPORT STUDY SESSION MINUTES <br />BOCC CONFERENCE ROOM, 205 WEST 5TH ROOM 109 - ELLENSBURG <br />Regular Meeting <br /> <br />MONDAY 11:00 AM December 14, 2020 <br />Board members present: Chair Brett Wachsmith, Vice-Chair Laura Osiadacz and Commissioner <br />Cory Wright. <br />Others: Mandy Buchholz, Ken Grannan, Benjamin West, Greg Zemple, Nancy Lillquist, and <br />one guest. <br />CALL TO ORDER: 11:00 AM, Chair Brett Wachsmith <br />AAC Draft By-Laws: Ken Grannan from the Airport Department presented discussion <br />regarding the Draft By-Laws developed by the Reorganization Committee and Sub Committee of <br />the Airport Advisory Committee. Ken mentioned the newly appointed AAC for 2021 will <br />review all documents prepared by the Reorganization Committee and current Airport Advisory <br />Committee to develop their acting By-Lays. Suggestion was made to change the initial terms <br />from 1, 2, and 3-year terms to 2, and 3-year terms. Discussion followed which helped clarify <br />standard committee protocol within the county and the stance of the AAC. Recommendations <br />will be presented to the new AAC to eliminate the 1-year term and proceed with the 2 and 3-year <br />terms. The presented By-Laws were detailed, covering items that may be suited better in <br />membership documents. A recommendation to create a revised by-laws with the new AAC in <br />2021. This concluded the Reorganization of the Airport Advisory Committee discussion. <br />2020 Airport Accomplishments: Ken Grannan presented to the board some of the many <br />accomplishments achieved at the airport over the previous year. BoCC expressed their <br />appreciation of the direction the airport has taken and the fact there is dedicated staff to manage <br />the airport.
