A RESOLUTION AMENDING A CONTRACT WITH THE CHAMBER OF COMMERCE
RELATED TO AID TO NONPROFIT ORGANIZATIONS, CHAMBER CAR,ES GRANTS
AND KITTITAS COUNTY STRONG ROUND 2 GRANTS
WHEREAS, the County and the Chamber entered into a contract related to the corona virus-
related financial aid to affected businesses on July 21,2020; and
WHEREAS, CARES Act funding has become available to assist non-profit organizations,
Chamber Cares Grants and a Kittitas County Strong Round 2 Grunt program affected by
the restrictions from the Governor's proclamation ofNovember 15,2020 as well; and
WHEREAS, the parties desire to amend the contract to allow for the provision of financialaid
to non-profit organizations as well; and
WHEREAS, at a duly called and noticed public meeting, the Board of County Commissioners
determined that amending the contract was in the public's best interest.
WIIEREAS, the allocation per grant was modified, to allow full use of all programs
NOW THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED that the amendment to the contract with the
Chamber of Commerce related to aid to nonprofit organizations affected by the
pandemic is approved and the board Chairman is authorized to execute said
amendment.

CONTRACT AMENDMENT
THIS AMENDMENT TO CONTRACT is made and dated this _15th_day of
December ,2020, by and between KITTITAS COUNTY, a municipal corporation in
the State of Washington, hereinafter referred to as the County, and The Kittitas
County Chamber of Commerce, hereinafter referred to as the Chamber.
WITNESSETH:
WHEREAS, the County and the Chamber entered into a contract related to
the corona virus-related financial aid to affected businesses on July 21,,2020; and
WHEREAS, CARES Act funding has become available to assist non-profit
organizations, Chamber Cares Grants and Kittitas County Strong Round 2 Grant
program affected by the restrictions from the Governor's proclamation of
November 15,2O2O as well; and
WHEREAS, the parties desire to amend the contract to allow for the
provision of financial aid to non-profit organizations, Chamber Cares Grants and
Kittitas County Strong Round 2 Grant program affected by the restrictions from
the Governor's proclamation of November 15,2020 as well.
NOW, THEREFORE, lT lS HEREBY AGREED by and between the parties to a
change in contract terms as follows:
New sections are hereby added to the contract as follows:
2.1.02. The County agrees to provide the sum of S SZOO,000 to the
Chamber from the County's CARES Act allotment to be used as follows:
o to assist non-profit organizations affected by the coronavirus public health
emergency from March 1,,2020 through November 30,2020,
r to assist in the Chamber Cares Grants to businesses affected by the
coronavirus public health emergency from March l through November 30,
2020,
o to assist Kittitas county strong Round 2 Grant program affected by the
restrictions from the Governor's proclamation of Novembe r L5, 2020, from
November 15, 2O2O through Novembe r 30,2020.r Of the above sum 10% may be used for administrative costs.o Allowing $530,000 to be distributed to the above grant programs and
S70,000 for administrative costs.
All other terms and conditions of the aforementioned contract shall
remain in fullforce and effect.
lN WITNESS WHEREOF, the County and the Chamber have signed their
names and affixed their seals the day and year first written above.

WHEREAS, the parties desire to amend the contract to allow for the

the Governor's proclamation of November 15,2O2O as well.
