RESCINDING $61,000 IN SURFACE TRANSPORTATION BLOCK GRANT FUNDING
TO KITTITAS COUNTY DEPARTMENT OF PUBLIC WORKS PURSUANT TO
RESOLUTION 2020-050 LEAVING $443,000 IN AWARD TO PUBLIC WORKS
WHEREAS: Resolution2020-050 awarded $504,000 in Surface Transportation Block Grant
(STBG) funds to Public Works; and
WHEREAS: Public Works saved $61,000 in2020 Bullfrog Road project construction costs;
and
WHEREAS: Public Works desires adding the $61,000 to the 2021 STBG rural grantprogram;
NOW, THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED that the Board of County Commissioners, in the
best interest of the public, does hereby rescind $61,000 in Surface Transportation Block Grant
funds awarded in Resolution2020-050 and retains the balance as awarded to Public Works.
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the $61,000 be made available to rural STBG grant
applicants during the 2021 grant cycle.
