ACTION REQUESTED: To approve a Resolution Authorizing Lease Execution
BACKGROUND: With the Airport Department becoming a new department,
there is need for adequate office and maintenance
equipment storage. On November 3, 2020 a public hearing
was held to discuss the current lease with CenterFuse, at
which time their land lease was amended. During that
conversation it was requested by Staff to pursue leasing an
empty space in the CenterFuse building.
DISCUSSION: The office space is approximately 3912 square feet with a
current lease rate of $2542.80. Anticipating the approval of
needed lease space, we budgeted $2800 per month for 2021
for an appropriate location. We are under the impression
CenterFuse will agree to the terms with the lease beginning
in January of 2021. This building will house both
Administration and Operations offices, including a board
room, and maintenance facility for our operations
equipment.
INTERACTION: Airport Staff, CenterFuse and BoCC. The Prosecutors
Office has produced a Lease and Resolution authorizing
Lease Execution with Prosecution Request #49572
RECOMMENDATION: Airport Staff Recommends the approval of the resolution
authorizing lease execution.
