Ruby St., Suite 2, Ellensburg, WA 98926 <br />CDS@CO.KITTITAS.WA.US <br />Office (509) 962-7506 <br /> <br /> <br />AGENDA STAFF REPORT <br /> <br />AGENDA DATE: December 15, 2020 <br /> <br />ACTION REQUESTED: Adoption by Ordinance of the 2020 Annual Docket Amendments to Kittitas <br />County Code and Comprehensive Plan Approved by the Board of County <br />Commissioners <br /> <br /> <br />BACKGROUND: The County is amending Kittitas County Code and Comprehensive Plan through <br />the annual docketing procedure required by KCC 15B.03.030, as amended by <br />Resolution #2020-134. <br /> <br />The Kittitas County Planning Commission held a public hearing on November <br />10, 2020 to consider 10 proposed amendments to Kittitas County Code and/or <br />Comprehensive Plan. Eight of the the items were recommended for approval, <br />some with amendments, and two items were recommended for denial to the <br />Kittitas County Board of Commissioners. <br /> <br />The Kittitas County Board of County Commissioners held an open public <br />hearing on December 2, 2020. At the public hearing and after deliberation of the <br />proposed items, the Board of County Commissioners approved, or approved with <br />amendment, eight (8) of the items. The Commissioners at the hearing directed <br />staff to prepare enabling documents for the docket items. <br /> <br />INTERACTION: Community Development Services, Public Works, Prosecuting Attorney, and <br />Board of County Commissioners. <br /> <br />RECOMMENDATION: Adopt the Ordinance regarding Kittitas County’s 2020 Annual Docket items as <br />approved by the Board of Commissioners during the public hearing on December <br />2, 2020 and have Board Chair sign the updated zoning map. <br /> <br />ATTACHMENTS: Enabling Ordinance with Exhibits, Updated Zoning Map <br /> <br />LEAD STAFF: Dan Carlson, AICP, Community Development Services Director
