AGENDA STAFF REPORT
AGENDA DATE: December 15, 2020
ACTION REQUESTED: Request to Acknowledge the Facility Agreement between
Kittitas County and Numi Financial.
BACKGROUND: This agreement is between Kittitas County and Numi Financial,
who we have an existing agreement with. The new agreement brings things current with
both policy and administration changes on both ends. Numi Financial offers a debit card
program by which inmates may receive the funds remaining on their commissary account
at the time of their release, avoiding the liability of the Kittitas County Jail having to
account for a cash drawer, or the inmate having to find somewhere to cash a check —
possibly in the middle of the night — in order to get home.
INTERACTION: The Kittitas County Prosecuting Attorney's Office has reviewed and
approved.
RECOMMENDATION: Request to Acknowledge the Facility Agreement between
Kittitas County and Numi Financial.
HANDLING: No handling.
