RESOLUTION

RESOLUTION TO AUTHORIZE ASSET TRANSFER TO KITTITAS COUNTY YOUTH SERVICES
WHEREAS, RCW 36.34.005 authorizes Counties to establish comprehensive procedures for the management of County property; and
WHEREAS, Kittitas County Code Chapter 2.81 establishes the comprehensive procedures for Kittitas County’s property management; and
WHEREAS, Kittitas County Public Health Department (KCPHD)acquired assets, which are attached hereto and hereby incorporated by this reference,through a grant from the Health Care Authority
(HCA) for the Community Prevention and Wellness Initiative; and
WHEREAS, KCPHD is no longer a recipient of this HCA grant or responsible for directly implementing the Community Prevention and Wellness Initiative, as it has been transferred to Kittitas
County Youth Services; and
WHEREAS, Kittitas County Code 2.81(15)(a) authorizes the Board of County Commissioners to convey title to county personal property which is no longer needed for county purposes, with
or without further consideration, to a bona fide nonprofit organization to be used to further a county recognized purpose; and
WHEREAS, Kittitas County Youth Services is a bona fide nonprofit organization and the successor organization in receipt of the HCA grant related to the Community Prevention Wellness
Initiative which serves a county purpose; and
WHEREAS,the Kittitas County Board of County Commissioners finds that is in the best interests of the County and its people to transfer these specific assets to Kittitas County Youth
Services without further consideration for the purposes detailed herein.
NOW THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED that the Board of County Commissioners of Kittitas County, Washington, hereby authorizesthe transfer of the attached assets to Kittitas County Youth Services.
