Burrows EMS Coordinator SUBJECT: UPDATE FOR ME ING - Proposed 2021 KCEMSD Budget Plan - REVISED The Proposed 2021 Budget Plan for the Kittitas County EMS Division was sent out to all participating jurisdictions August 7th for review and planning. At this month's EMS Council meeting, the 2021 Budget Plan was revisited and reduced from a proposed 7% increase to a I% increase for 2021. Background ...... The 7% increase for 2021 was mainly due to the 2020 Wage Survey adjustment approved by the County Commissioners for the EMS Office staff positions. Due to the transition between EMS Assistants in 2020, the EMS Council projects a 2020 budget credit for the jurisdictions that offsets the overall increase needed for 2021. A conservative estimate of the 2020 credit = $30,000. The individual jurisdiction percentage is based on population distribution. Population distribution changes are reflected in the proposed budget plan. Population percentages are derived from the Office of Financial Management, Forecasting Division, dated April 1, 2020. There are no distribution changes for 2021. The Proposed 2021 Budget Plan for the Kittitas County EMS Division will be on the KCCOG agenda this week in accordance with the Inter -Local Cooperation Agreement for recommendation of the Participating Jurisdictions.
