AGENDA DATE: December 15, 2020
ACTION REQUESTED: Consider/acknowledge reappointments or NEW
appointments to the following County Boards,
Committee’s and Commissions: Kittitas County
Homelessness & Affordable Housing Committee;
County Law & Justice Council; Developmental
Disabilities Advisory Committee; Behavioral
Health Recovery Advisory Board; TV Dist.; Airport
Advisory Committee; Fair Board & Planning
Commission.
BACKGROUND: Currently the County has multiple vacancies on its
volunteer Boards, Committee’s and Commissions.
Staff advertised in July of 2020 for all upcoming
and current vacancies.
INTERACTION: Staff published notice of vacancies through the
County’s Press Release application which sends
notice to the Daily Record, the County website and
its subscribers as well as KXLE Radio.
RECOMMENDATION:
Consider the Reappointment of Toby
Allphin (term ending 12/31/2020), for a 3
year term to the Kittitas County
Developmental Disabilities Advisory
Committee, effective 1/1/2021 and to expire
12/31/2023.
Consider the Reappointments of Bret Hollar,
Greg Zempel, Heather Harrell, Jessie
Blackwood & Robert Marin (terms ending
12/31/2020), for a 3 year term to the Kittitas
County Fair Board effective 1/1/2021 and to
expire 12/31/2023.
Consider the Reappointments of Amy Mayo
& Steve Luten (terms ending 12/31/2020)
for 2 year terms to the Kittitas County
Homelessness & Affordable Housing
Committee effective 1/1/2021 and expiring
on 12/31/2022.
Consider the Reappointments of Donald
Chance, Ian Elliott, Bruce Coe, Michael
Lundin, and Bob Martin (terms ending
12/31/2020) for a 4 year term effective
1/1/2021 and to expire on 12/31/2024.
Consider the Reappointments of Doug Fulp
and Joy Stochosky, (terms ending
12/31/2020) for a 3 year term to the Kittitas
County Behavioral Health and Recovery
Advisory Board effective 1/1/2021 and
expiring 12/31/2023.
Consider the Reappointment of Sam Garrett
(term ending 12/31/2020) for 3 year term to
the Kittitas County TV Improvement
District Board, effective 1/1/2021 and to
expire on 12/31/2023.
Consider the Reappointment of Crystal
Church (term ending 12/31/2020) for 2 year
term to the Kittitas County Law & Justice
Council, effective 1/1/2021 and to expire on
12/31/2022.
Consider applicants for Appointment to the
New Airport Advisory Board:

representing as a City Council Rep
or Regular Citizen).

HANDLING: Staff to notify members of their reappointments
and or new appointments to the following County
Boards, Committee’s and Commissions: Kittitas
County Homelessness & Affordable Housing
Committee; County Law & Justice Council;
Developmental Disabilities Advisory Committee;
Behavioral Health Recovery Advisory Board; TV
Dist.; Airport Advisory Committee; Fair Board &
Planning Commission, and to update the website to
reflect new terms.
