KITTITAS COUNTY <br />DEPARTMENT OF PUBLIC WORKS <br />AGENDA STAFF REPORT <br />AGENDA DATE: December 15, 2020 <br />ACTION REQUESTED: Request to Approve a Resolution to Award $427,309 in <br />transportation funding to the City of Ellensburg supporting <br />the signalization of the University Way/Reecer Creek Road <br />intersection. <br />BACKGROUND: Recently, the Board made available $56,439 of Highway <br />Infrastructure funds saved during the 2020 construction <br />program. In addition, $370,870 in urban STBG funds are <br />available for 2021 award. The City of Ellensburg is the <br />only city in the County that qualifies for urban STBG <br />funding. Public Work supports awarding $427,309 to the <br />City in combined 2021 transportation funding for <br />constructing the signal at University Way and Reecer Creek <br />Road. <br />INTERACTION: Public Works <br />RECOMMENDATION: Approve the Resolution to Award $427,309 in <br />transportation funding to the City of Ellensburg supporting <br />the signalization of the University Way/Reecer Creek Road <br />intersection. <br />HANDLING: Return one original to Public Works. <br />ATTACHMENTS: Resolution. <br />LEAD STAFF: Mark R.
