REGULAR MEETING
MONDAY 9:00 A.M. DECEMBER 7, 2020
Board members present: Chairman Brett Wachsmith; Vice-Chairman Laura
Osiadacz; Cory Wright, Commissioner. (via WebEx)
Others Via WebEx: Julie Kjorsvik, Clerk of the Board; Mandy

REGULAR MEETING OFFICE STAFF MEETING COMMISSIONERS
At 9:00 a.m. Chairman Wachsmith opened the Office Administration
meeting.
CALENDAR WEEK AT A GLANCE COMMISSIONERS
The Board of County Commissioners reviewed their weekly calendars.
PAF/VOUCHERS REVIEW OF PAF’S & VOUCHERS COMMISSIONERS
The Board of County Commissioners approved the County Vouchers and
PAF’s.
CORRESPONDENCE LOG REVIEW OF CORRESPONDENCE LOG COMMISSIONERS
The Correspondence Log for the week ending December 4, 2020 was
presented.
RESOLUTION 2020-205 OFFICE CLOSURE COMMISSIONERS
Commissioner Osiadacz moved to approve Resolution No. 2020-205, A
Resolution Authorizing the Closure of the Kittitas County Board of
Commissioners Office on December 18, 2020. Commissioner Wright
seconded. Motion carried 3-0.
DISCUSSION PLAUCHE & CARR COMMISSIONERS
Commissioner Wright stated this is a following up on the
conversation with the Board last week. He wanted to make sure if the
County agreed to do 4 more months, he would ask Plauche & Carr to
bring forward an extension of their Contract for the Board to
consider before the end of the year. Chairman Wachsmith agreed.
Commissioner Osiadacz reminded Commissioner Wright that we need to
get the County Prosecutor to approve it and extend the Special
Deputy Prosecutor Appointment for the extension. She stated she

didn’t think there would be any issue and would be in support of it
as well.
DISCUSSION FOLLOW UP DH REPORTS COMMISSIONERS
The Board directed Staff to work with IT and have them add a line
item to the Board’s Office Admin. Agenda for Commissioner DH Reports
beginning January. The Board discussed that they would start in
January meeting with Department Head weekly one on one’s like they
used to.
DISCUSSION FACEBOOK WEEKLY POSTS COMMISSIONERS
The Board determined for the week of December 7, 2020 they would
post on their Facebook page, any COVID-19 updates; winter driving
safety and the Board’s recruitment for the new Airport Advisory
Committee.
OTHER BUSINESS/GENERAL UPDATES
There were general updates on meetings & conversations that the
Board participated in, individually over the past week.
Commissioner Wright directed Staff to set up a meeting for Tuesday
December 8, 2020 @ 11:00 a.m. to consider a Resolution he has been
drafting with the Prosecutor’s Office.
