AGENDA DATE: December 15th, 2020
ACTION REQUESTED: Request the Board of County Commissioners (BOCC) approve a Resolution Authorizing Execution of Internal Contracts for Award of LTAC Funding and sign the 2020 and 2021
Lodging Tax Services Agreements for Operations with Kittitas County Auditor’s Office and Kittitas Valley Event Center.
BACKGROUND: There are expenses accrued through-out the year by the Auditor’s Office and Kittitas Valley Event Center (KVEC) that directly fall under Lodging Tax. Staff time hours to
staff the Committee and to review the contracts and reimbursements. KVEC also accrues expenses maintaining the Event Center which is used for many events funded by Lodging Tax Funds.
These agreements enable Lodging Tax funds to be spent under the appropriate categories.
INTERACTION: The Lodging Tax Advisory Committee met on September 24th, 2020 and November 23rd, 2020 in open public meetings and approved the Internal Applications. The Contracts were
approved from the Prosecutor’s Office on November 25th, 2020. SR#50358
RECOMMENDATION: Request the BOCC approves the Resolution and signs the attached 2020/2021 Lodging Tax Operational Agreements LT-2020-031-033
