AUTHORIZING CHAIR SIGNATURE ON THE QUIT CLAIM DEED FOR A
PORTION OF SPARKS ROAD TO THE WASHINGTON STATE DEPARTMENT OF'
TRAI\SPORTATION
WHEREAS: The Kittitas County Board of County Commissioners and Washington State
Department of Transportation (WSDOT) agreed to work cooperatively in real
estate matters associated with Interstate 90 construction in May of 1972 pursuant
to Agreement GM 752; and
WHEREAS: The Board of County Commissioners amended Agreement GM 752 in Resolution
2020-126 allowing for the conveyance of necessary land along Sparks Road
supporting construction of current I-90 improvements by WSDOT;and
WHEREAS: The conveyance of a certain portion of Sparks Road is now necessary completing
I-90 proposed improvements; and
NOW' THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED that the Board of County Commissioners, in the
best interest of the public, does hereby authorize the Chair's signature on the Quit Claim Deed
conveying a portion of Sparks Road to WSDOT supporting current I-90 construction.
