KITTITAS COUNTY <br />Board of County Commissioners <br /> <br />AGENDA STAFF REPORT <br /> <br />AGENDA DATE: December 1, 2020 <br /> <br />ACTION REQUESTED: Request Public Hearing to consider Agricultural Lease <br />Amendment Jay Aberle <br /> <br /> <br />LEAD STAFF: Benjamin West, Director of Airport Operations <br />Ken Grannan, Airport Coordinator <br /> <br />BACKGROUND: Airport Staff and the Board of County Commissioners have <br />recently discussed the issues surrounding the Agricultural Leases <br />at the Kittitas County Airport-Bowers Field. One of the options <br />was to extend the current leases for twelve months to give the <br />County time to consider the future of the 812 acres currently leased <br />for grazing cattle. <br /> <br />INTERACTION: The Prosecutors Office is reviewing this Lease Amendment <br />Prosecutor’s Request #50636. <br /> <br />RECOMMENDATION: Airport Staff is requesting the BOCC hold a Public Hearing on <br />December 15, 2020 to consider an Agricultural Lease Amendment <br />to extend the lease 12-months with Jay Aberle. <br /> <br />HANDLING: None <br /> <br />ATTACHMENTS: Public Notice <br /> <br />
