ACTION REQUESTED: Request Public Hearing to consider Agricultural Lease
Amendment Blazing Tree Cattle Company

BACKGROUND: Airport Staff and the Board of County Commissioners have
recently discussed the issues surrounding the Agricultural Leases
at the Kittitas County Airport-Bowers Field. One of the options
was to extend the current leases for twelve months to give the
County time to consider the future of the 812 acres currently leased
for grazing cattle.
INTERACTION: The Prosecutors Office is reviewing this Lease Amendment
Prosecutor’s Request #50637.
RECOMMENDATION: Airport Staff is requesting the BOCC hold a Public Hearing on
December 15, 2020 to consider an Agricultural Lease Amendment
to extend the lease 12-months with Blazing Tree Cattle Company.
