BOARD OF COUNTY COMMISSIONERS <br />COUNTY OF KITTITAS <br />STATE OF WASHINGTON <br />RESOLUTION NO. 2O2O - I q I <br />FORMATION OF KITTITAS COUNTY JOINT CONTROL BOARD NO. 1 <br />WHEREAS: The Kittitas Reclamation District and West Side Irigating Company submitted a <br />petition to the Kiuitas County Board of County Commissioners to form a joint <br />control board dated September 9, 2020; and <br />WIIEREAS: Kittitas County Department of Public Works and Prosecuting Attorney Office <br />staff concur the petition satisfies requirements in law; and <br />WHEREAS: Washington State Law contemplates formulation of a joint irrigation control <br />board in Revised Code of Washington 87.80; and <br />WHEREAS: The Board of Kittitas County Commissioners did hold a public hearing on <br />Thursday, November 12,2020 at 9:00 am to hear public testimony regarding the <br />formation of a joint control board between Kittitas Reclamation District and West <br />Side Irrigating Company; and <br />WHEREAS: The Kittitas County Board of County Commissioners have determined that the <br />formation of a joint control board is in the public interest; <br />NOW, THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED that the Kittitas County Board of County <br />Commissioners, after due deliberation and in the best interest of the public, does <br />hereby approve the creation of the j oint control board, designating it to the Kittitas <br />County Joint Control Board No. 1. <br />DATED on this lTth day of November 2020, at Ellensburg, Washington <br />BOARD OF COTJNTY SSIONERS <br />CO SHIN <br />Vice-Chairman <br />Cory Wright, Commissioner <br />Buchholz <br />orsvik <br />Mandy <br />Julie Kj <br />Board-theofClerk
