COMMISSIONERS' MINUTES KITTITAS COUNTY, WASHINGTON WEBEX SPECIAL MEETING TUESDAY 3:30 P.M. NOVEMBER 10, 2020
Board members present: Chairman Brett Wachsmith; Vice-Chairman Laura
Osiadacz and Commissioner Cory Wright. (via Webex)

SPECIAL MEETING EXECUTIVE SESSION COMMISSIONERS
At 3:30 p.m. Chairman Wachsmith opened a Special Meeting and
announced the Board would recess into an Executive Session for 30
minutes to evaluate the qualifications of an applicant for public
employment or to review the performance of a public employee.
However, subject to RCW 42.30.140(4), discussion by a governing body
of salaries, wages, and other conditions of employment to be
generally applied within the agency shall occur in a meeting open to
the public, and when a governing body elects to take final action
hiring, setting the salary of an individual employee or class of
employees, or discharging or disciplining an employee, that action
shall be taken in a meeting open to the public. No action was
anticipated.
At 4:00 p.m. the Board reconvened out of Executive Session. No
action taken.
At 4:00 p.m. Chairman Wachsmith announced the Board would recess
back into an Executive Session for 10 minutes to evaluate the
qualifications of an applicant for public employment or to review
the performance of a public employee. However, subject to RCW
42.30.140(4), discussion by a governing body of salaries, wages, and
other conditions of employment to be generally applied within the
agency shall occur in a meeting open to the public, and when a

At 4:10 p.m. the Board reconvened out of Executive Session. No
action taken.
At 4:10 p.m. Chairman Wachsmith announced the Board would recess
back into an Executive Session for 15 minutes to evaluate the
qualifications of an applicant for public employment or to review
the performance of a public employee. However, subject to RCW

qualifications of an applicant for public employment or to review
the performance of a public employee. However, subject to RCW
42.30.140(4), discussion by a governing body of salaries, wages, and
other conditions of employment to be generally applied within the
agency shall occur in a meeting open to the public, and when a
governing body elects to take final action hiring, setting the
salary of an individual employee or class of employees, or
discharging or disciplining an employee, that action shall be taken
in a meeting open to the public. No action was anticipated.
At 4:30 p.m. the Board reconvened out of Executive Session. No
action taken.
OTHER BUISNESS
Chairman Wachsmith updated the Board on the next steps for DH. He
said they were currently asking the Commissioners to reach out to
businesses in the community to be a part of the process.
Commissioner Osiadacz said she is following up with some business
owners. Commissioner Wright asked why the Chamber was not taking the
lead on this. Chairman Wachsmith stated there was more community
input coming from the local leaders.
