KITTITAS COUNTY <br />DEPARTMENT OF PUBLIC WORKS <br />AGENDA STAFF REPORT <br />AGENDA DATE: November 3, 2020 <br />ACTION REQUESTED: Request to approve the Resolution to award a Local <br />Agency Agreement to KPG P. S. for the Design and <br />Environmental Permitting for the Pavement and Guardrail <br />Replacement on Vantage Highway MP 21.25 — MP 27.5 1, <br />CRP 298-19. <br />BACKGROUND: On July 21, 2020 Public Works was authorized to advertise <br />for design and environmental permitting for the pavement <br />and guardrail replacement on Vantage Highway MP 21.25 <br />— MP 27.51. <br />Public Works staff received responses from four (4) <br />qualified firms with the process closing on August 13, <br />2020. <br />A review committee of Public Works staff evaluated the <br />responses and has selected KPG P. S. as the preferred firm <br />to provide the said services. <br />A professional services agreement has been negotiated and <br />provided for approval by the Board. <br />INTERACTION: Public Works. <br />RECOMMENDATION: Approve the Resolution to award a Local Agency <br />Agreement to KPG P. S. for the Design and Environmental <br />Permitting for the Pavement and Guardrail Replacement on <br />Vantage Highway MP 21.25 — MP 27.5 1, CRP 298-19. <br />HANDLING: Return one (1) original to Public Works, <br />ATTACHMENTS: Resolution, Local Agency Agreement. <br />LEAD STAFF: Mark Cook, Director. <br />
