AGENDA STAFF REPORT
AGENDA DATE: November 3, 2020
ACTION REQUESTED: Approve Contract Amendment with ALSC Architects.
BACKGROUND: Kittitas County has been working with ALSC Architects to design
an addition and upgrades to Bloom Pavilion in accordance with the Event Center Master
Plan. During the preliminary design it was determined that it would be necessary to
remove the Swine barn the Colockum building and to relocate the Wash Rack in order to
add on to Bloom Pavilion.
Kittitas County Event Center staff was able to secure funding from a Department of
Commerce grant that will cover the cost of this phase of the project. Each of these small
steps is helping the facility to work towards the goals set in the Master plan.
INTERACTION: Solid Waste Department and the Prosecutor’s Office.
RECOMMENDATION: Recommend Boards approval for the Chair to sign the
Amendment to ALSC Architects Professional Service agreement.
HANDLING: Return to Solid Waste.
