AGENDA DATE: November 3, 2020
ACTION REQUESTED: Request to Set Public Hearing for 2020 Annual Docket Amendments to
Kittitas County Comprehensive Plan and County Code
BACKGROUND: CDS staff is requesting to set a virtual public hearing for December 2, 2020 at 6:00pm
via Webex for consideration of proposed amendments to Kittitas County
Comprehensive Plan and County Code through the annual "Docket" process. The
County accepted citizen amendment requests through August 14, 2020 for
consideration by the Kittitas County Planning Commission and the Kittitas County
Board of County Commissioners. The amendments must be consistent with the
Growth Management Act and other applicable state laws, applicable countywide
planning policies, and the goals, policies, and objectives of the Comprehensive Plan.
The Kittitas County Planning Commission was scheduled to conduct a public hearing
on October 13, 2020 to consider the changes, however, the meeting was not held due
to a lack of quorum. A new virtual public hearing has now been scheduled to consider
the changes on November 10, 2020. A staff report containing staff recommendations
and the Planning Commission recommendations along with the docket items will be
provided prior to the public hearing. All docket items are currently available for review
on the Community Development Services website at:
