ACTION REQUESTED: Request to Approve a Resolution to correct a Scrivener's
Error on Resolution 2020-168 adopting the October 2020
Public Works Organizational Chart
BACKGROUND: After Board approval of Resolution 2020-168 adopting the
October 2020 Public Works Organizational Chart it was
discovered that the Administrative Assistant position was
incorrectly labeled as an exempt position.
Requirements for adopting the Public Works organizational
chart appear in Chapter 36.78 of the Revised Code of
Washington. Specific requirements for setting the Road
Department's organizational chart appear in Washington
Administrative Code at chapter 136-50-051. This plan
moves road maintenance to the County Road Engineer as
required by the County Road Administration Board.
INTERACTION: Public Works
RECOMMENDATION: Approve the Resolution to correct a Scrivener's Error on
Resolution 2020-168 adopting the October 2020 Public
Works Organizational Chart.
HANDLING: Return one original to Public Works

RESOLUTION NO. 2020 -
CORRECTING A SCRIVENER'S ERROR ON RESOLUTION 2020-168 ADOPTING
THE PUBLIC WORKS OCTOBER 2020 ORGANIZATIONAL CHART AND POLICIES
OF THE LEGISLATIVE AUTHORITY
WHEREAS: Kittitas County Resolution 2020-168 adopted the Public Works October 2020
Organizational Chart and Policies of the Legislative Authority; and
WHEREAS: After Resolution 2020-168 was approved, an error was discovered in said
Organizational Chart; and
WHEREAS: This Resolution is intended to correct the scrivener's error in Resolution 2020-
168; and
NOW, THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED that the Board of County Commissioners, in the
best interest of the public, does hereby approve this Resolution correcting the scrivener's error in
Resolution 2020-168 adopting the October 2020 Public Works Department organizational chart
and associated policies of the county legislative authority.
