Request to Approve a Resolution to Award the bid
to furnish Snow & Ice Control Products for 2021.
BACKGROUND: Kittitas County Public Works went out to bid for
the furnishing of specific snow & ice products in
accordance with specifications.
Bids were opened on October 22, 2020 at 2:00 p.m.
in the Public Works Department and four (4) bids
were received. Public Works recommends
awarding the bid to all four (4) Vendors as
described in said Bid Tab attached.
INTERACTION: Public Works
RECOMMENDATION: Move to approve a Resolution to Award the bid to
furnish Snow & Ice Control Products for 2021.
HANDLING: Return one (1) original to Public Works

RESOLUTION NO. 2020 -
TO AWARD THE BID TO FURNISH SNOW & ICE CONTROL PRODUCTS FOR 2021
AND AUTHORIZE THE PUBLIC WORKS DIRECTOR TO SIGN CONTRACT
DOCUMENTS
WHEREAS: A Notice of Call for Bids was advertised for Snow and Ice Control Products for 2021 on
October 8, 2020 and October 15, 2020; and
WHEREAS: Sealed bids were opened on October 22, 2020, at 2:00 p.m. in the office of Kittitas
County Public Works and four (4) bids were received; and
WHEREAS: The Public Works Department recommends that the responsible bid of Envirotech
Services Inc. for Item #1 — Corrosion Inhibited Liquid Magnesium Chloride and for Item
#2 — Corrosion Inhibited Liquid Calcium Chloride; the responsible bid of Pioneer
Commodities for Item 43 — Corrosion Inhibited Solid Sodium Chloride; the responsible
bid of Rankin Products, LLC for Item 44 - Non Corrosion Inhibited Solid Sodium
Chloride; and the responsible bid of Roadwise, Inc. for Item #5 — RoadSaver — Soil
Stabilizer be accepted for Snow & Ice Control Products for 2021; and
NOW, THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED that the Board of County Commissioners, in the best interest
of the public, does hereby award the bid for 2021 Snow & Ice Control Products to Envirotech Services
Inc. for Item #I — Corrosion Inhibited Liquid Magnesium Chloride and for Item #2 — Corrosion Inhibited
Liquid Calcium Chloride; the responsible bid of Pioneer Commodities for Item 43 — Corrosion Inhibited
Solid Sodium Chloride; the responsible bid of Rankin Products, LLC for Item #4 - Non Corrosion
Inhibited Solid Sodium Chloride; and the responsible bid of Roadwise, Inc. for Item #5 — RoadSaver —
Soil Stabilizer upon such terms and conditions as specified in the Proposal submitted by said bidder(s);
and
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the Director of Public Works is authorized to sign the contract
documents upon such terms and conditions specified in the Proposal submitted by said bidder(s).
