COMMISSIONERS' MINUTES KITTITAS COUNTY, WASHINGTON WEBEX SPECIAL MEETING
MONDAY 10:00 A.M. OCTOBER 26, 2020
Board members present via WebEx: Chairman, Brett Wachsmith;
Vice-Chairman Laura Osiadacz & Commissioner Cory Wright.
Others via WebEx: Julie Kjorsvik, Clerk of the Board; Mandy
Buchholz, Deputy Clerk of the Board II; Judy Pless, Budget &
Finance Manager and 2 members of the public. SPECIAL MEETING CARES FUNDING COMMISSIONERS
At 10:00 a.m. Chairman Wachsmith opened a Special Meeting to
discuss and finalize expenditures for Cares Funding.
Judy Pless, Budget & Finance Manager presented information on
the allocated amount of Cares Funding available as of October
26, 2020. She reviewed both requests and expenses to date.
The Board discussed funding to Schools, Non-Profits, and the
Chamber Cares Grants. Following discussion on how much to expend
on schools from the Cares Act Funding, the Board said they’d
like to hold off on making a decision on that part until more
definitive numbers have been obtained from the Public Health
Department. Ms. Pless said she would be talking to them and
obtaining the additional information.
The Board indicated they would be in favor of expenditures on
the list with exception of schools until further information is
obtained later this week. Staff was directed to place the item
onto the Budget Meeting scheduled for Thursday October 29, 2020
at 1:30 p.m.
The meeting was adjourned at 10:31 a.m.
