Meeting called to order at 11:00 AM.
Executive Session - Performance of a Public Employee
The board entered into a 10-minute executive session (RCW 42.30.110 (g)) “to evaluate the
qualifications of an applicant for public employment or to review the performance of a public
employee.“ No action was taken.
Discus staffing
Mr. Goeben notified the board of Jeremy Klarich’s resignation. He said he will work with the Human
Resource Office to advertise the position.
Wi-Fi Hotspots in Upper County
There was discussion about publicly availability Wi-Fi around the county to assist those without high
speed Internet access to attend public meetings. Mr. Goeben shared a City of Ellensburg map of
currently known locations: https://eburg.maps.arcgis.com/apps/Directions/index.html?appid=
537575cc1cd6423a959551df3f56bcfb. The board requested Mr. Goeben research the cost for the
county to provide high-speed Wi-Fi at other locations, including Easton school, Snoqualmie Pass fire
station, and the Vantage fire station or boat launch.
